Bridging the Great Divide: Technology and Process Improvement in Supply Management

by Kenneth Hartman, C.P.M.

Except for ERP system implementation projects, information technology and business process experts frequently sit in separate organizations working toward different and occasionally conflicting objectives. Often, technology professionals are automating complex processes that the process folks are trying to simplify. This issue can be made more complicated in companies that have grown by acquisition or have decentralized operations.

This highly interactive program will explore these challenges as they relate to supply management initiates such as supplier collaboration, six sigma, contract management, e-procurement, spend management, RFID, etc. The participants will be asked to share success stories and current challenges with integrating process improvement with technology.
